Hybrid Operating Room
NEOM Hospital has a number of hybrid operating rooms. These are designed to provide more services and functionality to the medical team than a standard surgical operating room. This saves time and means that as many medical experts can be available inside the operating room as needed and they can access the latest imaging and diagnostic technologies to make the surgery as simple and smooth as possible.
This also allows for a wider range of complex medical procedures to be performed more effectively, with greater precision, and in a minimally invasive manner.
Services Offered in a Hybrid Operating Room
- Complex Cardiovascular Procedures: including Coronary Artery Bypass Grafts (CABG), valve repairs, and aortic aneurysm repairs.
- Vascular Interventions: Treating conditions like peripheral artery disease, aneurysms, and Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT).
- Neurosurgery: Addressing brain aneurysms, Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), and Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) electrode placement.
- Neurointervention: Stroke, Brain Aneurysm.
- Orthopedic Surgery: Covering joint replacements, spine surgeries, and trauma cases with precision imaging.
- Minimally Invasive Procedures: Such as Myocardial infarction, Endovascular Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair (EVAR) and Transcather Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), known for shorter recovery times and minimal scarring.
- Emergency and Trauma Care: Rapidly adapting for life-saving interventions with advanced imaging.
- Research and Innovation: Driving the development of new surgical techniques and medical technologies.
